-
-
Q. Do Monty's songs teach kids how to read?
- A.
No, they don't teach but they do inspire! Monty uses the songs to share his own love for reading, books, and libraries. They are meant to re-inforce young listeners' positive experiences with reading and inspire them toward further exploration.

-
Q. Can I hear the songs / see the lyrics before I buy?
- A.
Absolutely! On the BandCamp page for Reading Songs Vol I, scroll down to the song list. Click the triangular play button to the left of each song to listen. Hover your mouse to the right of a song title to make a lyrics link magically appear.

Q. I notice BandCamp asks me to name my price. What's up with that?
- A. We're happy to receive the minimum price for each download. However if you want to pay more, you're welcome to.
-
-
Q. And why exactly would I want to pay more?
- A. Just to give the artist a tip; to show how much you value the music. It'll make both him and you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
-
-
Q. If I buy through BandCamp.com, how much goes to the artist and how much goes to some faceless corporate entity?
- A. A small amount goes to BandCamp and a small amount goes to PayPal. About 80% goes to the artist.
-
-
Q. What forms of payment can I use with BandCamp.com?
- A. Major credit cards or PayPal.
-
-
Q. Can I pay by check? Can I use a puchase order?
- A. If you are ordering CDs for a school or library and you need to pay by check, e-mail your PO number (if applicable), along with the titles of the CDs you want, directly to
readingsongs@montyharper.com. We will confirm your order first by email, then send the CDs along with an invoice.

About Using the Songs
-
Q. Can I make a video out of one of your songs and post it up on YouTube?
- A. Absolutely! If you do, please let us know and we'll feature it on ReadingSongs.com!
-
-
Q. Can my students perform your song?
- A. Certainly! And we'd love to see it, too, if you take any video.
-
-
Q. I want my students to learn your song, but we need music. Do you have instruments-only versions?
- A. There are two instruments-only versions available as bonus tracks on the CD; you get them if you purchase the entire CD. These are "Hanging Out With Heroes at the Library" and "Blast Into Books." For other song titles, no.
HOWEVER, we'd be happy to look into the archives for you to see if it's possible to make an instruments-only version for any given song. It can't hurt to ask.
