Your Free Musical Radio PSAs
Below are eight audio files you can download and use to promote
your "Paws Claws Scales and Tales" programs.
This PSA comes in generic and customizable versions so you may use it to promote the specifics of your own
program.
Refer to the official CSLP website for suggestions on how to get airtime for your PSAs as well as
alternative ways to use them in promoting your program.
Generic PSAs
The 30 and 60 second generic spots may be broadcast as is, in any market. A general description of the summer reading program
is given, and the listener is urged to visit the library for more
information.
Music Beds
Use the "Music Only" versions to create your own PSA by adding a voice over done by a local celebrity or radio personality. Your radio station
will be able to do this. (If you make your own generic PSA, let
us know and we'll post it here!)
Sample Voice Overs
The sample voice overs are not intended for broadcast. They simply illustrate the types of information you might include
in your own voice over, as well as where the speaker should speak.
They refer to a fictional library in "Metroville."
Scripts
A transcript of each PSA is available in a text file below. Feel
free to use these scripts as a starting point for writing your own voice
overs.
Delivery
You may wish to download and burn the AIFF files to CD for delivery to your local radio station. Better yet, feel free to send the station this URL and let them do all the work!
